Love that Food (A spin-off of Love the Dog!)

By interviewing and cooking with many Chattanooga-area culinary community partners, students will spotlight and prepare dishes that showcase diversity, uniqueness, community, and personal connectedness within our city. This will result in a greater love and appreciation for our unique city and the people who make it special.

Course Outcome
How can we, as Battle 4th graders, deepen our understanding of our school mantra: “Diversity makes us stronger, uniqueness makes us smarter, and community makes us family!” through the interviewing and/or hands-on experiences by our Chattanooga-area culinary community partners, so we can showcase diversity, uniqueness, community, and personal connectedness within our city?

This unit is a supplemental extension of the EL Curriculum 4th Grade Module 1: Structures & Poetry
